Desktop Edition
- Full graphical desktop environment
- Pre-installed applications for general use
- Ideal for interactive use with monitor and keyboard
- SSH enabled by default
- Larger image size (~4GB)
Server Edition
- Headless (no desktop environment)
- Optimized for server/appliance use
- SSH enabled by default
- Smaller image size (~2GB)
- Recommended for NAS, NVR, and headless applications
Verifying Downloads
Always verify your download using the SHA256 checksum:

Older Versions
Older OS images may be available at exaviz.com/downloads. However, we recommend using the latest versions for best compatibility and security.
Images older than 2025-05-01 do not include the /proc/pse interface for PoE control.
Update to the latest version for full PoE board support.
Alternative Images
While we recommend exaviz OS for the best experience, the Interceptor Carrier Board is also compatible with:
- Raspberry Pi OS (may require manual driver installation)
- Ubuntu Server (may require manual driver installation)
- DietPi (community-tested)
For alternative OS installation, you may need to manually install drivers. Contact us for guidance.
